Automatic phytoplankton image smoothing through integrated dual image histogram specification and enhanced background removal method

چکیده

Diatom is a dominant phytoplankton and commonly found in oceans or waterways. The captured microscopic images suffer from low contrast surrounding debris. These are not appropriated for identification. Integrated dual image adaptive histogram specification with enhanced background removal (DIHS-BR) proposed to address these issues by automatically removes the of improves quality while cropping cell. DIHS-BR will remove noises. consists two major steps, namely, means edge mask cropping. Results demonstrated that filtered out left only required cell image. Noises minimized, colour cells improved. average edge-based measure (EBCM) 83.065 demonstrates best improvement methods compared other state-of-the-art methods.
